Belstone Letterbox Walk

A charity letterbox walk has been set up this summer in aid of Belstone Village Hall.  Twelve boxes, each containing a unique specially-designed stamp on the theme of ‘Belstone Landmarks’, are hidden around a four-mile circuit of Scarey Tor, Winter Tor, Higher Tor and Belstone Tor.  The boxes are on the moor between the end of March and the end of September.  To obtain your set of clues please send a stamped addressed envelope and a cheque for £2.50 (made out to ‘Belstone Village Hall’) to Chris Walpole, ‘Little Gables’, Belstone, Okehampton, Devon, EX20 1RD.  You can also purchase the page of clues at The Tors and from the Thursday morning café in the Hall.  Why not pop into the café for refreshments and home-made cakes before setting off on the expedition; the café is open every Thursday between 0930 and 1230.  If you do the walk on any Sunday between 26 June and 18 September (except 10 July) treat yourself to a Cream Tea in the Hall between 1430 and 1730.  10 July is Belstone Fair day when you can find refreshments on the village green during the afternoon.
