Dartmoor Longhouses - Saturday 21st November

November 8, 2009: The latest illustrated talk in Belstone Village Hall will feature Dartmoor Longhouses. The village has several examples of these including Higher Sticklepath Farm, Tor Down House and behind the stocks at Well Meadow. Our speaker will be Belstone resident and internationally known architectural historian Dr Paul Oliver, one-time Director of Art and Design at Dartington College of Arts (1973-8), whose numerous books include the ground-breaking Encyclopedia of Vernacular Architecture of the World (1977)

The evening begins at 7.30pm on Saturday 21st November. Admission is by donation to Village Hall funds.
